Gunnedah Solar Farm

Moo Gully

 Providing energy that is

Renewable

Reliable &

Affordable

Located approximately five kilometres south-west of the Gunnedah township in the North West Slopes region of NSW, the Moo Gully - Gunnedah Solar Farm being developed by CleanPeak Energy is set for completion by the end of 2026.

The proposed 7.30MW photovoltaic electricity generating system will comprise over 11,000 solar panels ground-mounted on a single axis tracking system to follow the daily east-west movement of the sun.

For Gunnedah

CleanPeak works with local subcontractors and suppliers wherever possible, and have set up a Community Benefits Fund to support local projects, events, and initiatives in Gunnedah across the life of the solar farm.

For the Climate

Once fully operational, the Gunnedah Solar Farm is expected to offset close to 9,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, equivalent to taking more than 2,000 fuel-burning cars off the road or powering 2,000 Australian homes.

For the Land

The site has been carefully placed to protect environmental values, minimise native vegetation removal and respect areas of cultural sensitivity, with our Net Positive Biodiversity Action Plan, guiding how the land is enhanced over time.

The CleanPeak Energy Solar Farm is located a few kilometers south-west of Gunnedah, at the corner of Black Jack Rd and Bushs Ln.

The site is well positioned to deliver renewable energy into the surrounding distribution network, while being carefully designed to protect native vegetation and respect areas of cultural sensitivity.

With strong solar exposure across the region, New South Wales is well placed to support reliable large-scale solar generation.
